Benny’s Adventures

Explore every novel in Steve Pride’s galaxy-spanning saga, with amazing characters in numerous galaxies and the technology applied to futuristic astrophysics. The image is for the full-length movie script. Fingers crossed.

Charcoal self-portrait of Benny
Benny hides in plain sight, designing futuristic amusement rides for the elite. But behind his charming interactions and genius engineering lies a deeper purpose: preparing Earth for a technological and social transformation that could redefine civilization. As Benny’s inventions quietly revolutionize global transit systems, he begins to question the line between man and machine and whether he was built for something more.
Benny’s mission expands beyond Earth. He initiates first contact with the peaceful Anialisians and the technologically advanced Inarians. The Inarians introduce him to cutting-edge applications of wormhole stabilization and expansion technologies that could change the course of interstellar travel. When he’s asked to help save a dying star and bring sustainable fusion power to Earth, Benny becomes a symbol of unity between worlds. But diplomacy isn’t easy, and not everyone on Earth is ready for the future he represents.
Benny commands the Starship Nuit on a historic voyage to colonize new planets. Alongside a handpicked crew of international scientists, he builds Earth’s first off-world base, uncovers intelligent alien life, and applies lessons learned from the Inarians to experiment with warp bubble navigation and advanced wormhole access. As natural disasters threaten distant planets and political tensions rise back home, Benny must navigate more than just space; he must navigate the weight of leadership and the responsibility of shaping humanity’s next chapter.
The continued discoveries and challenges of colonizing other worlds are met with a formidable enemy on Gliese, needing a collaborative effort with Inari if either species wishes to colonize the planet. Benny and the Nuit crew also encounter a highly advanced species capable of folding space-time and claims to be the creators of numerous wormholes linking multiple galaxies together. This advanced species has captured Benny for unknowingly removing exotic matter from one of their wormholes to study without permission. The untrusting advanced species developed intergalactic laws that all other advanced species must follow or face consequences. Benny’s incarceration has humanity, and Inari is challenged to defend themselves and Benny.
Coming Soon: Rich with scientific imagination, emotional intelligence, and deeply human questions about purpose and identity, the Benny’s Adventures tetralogy explores what it means to lead, to evolve, and to believe in a better future even when you weren’t born to it.
The movie script is complete which covers books I, II, and a portion of book III. This two-hour manuscript covers a lot of the adventures ready to be brought to the big screen.

FILM SYNOPSIS
In a near future where humanity stands at the edge of extinction and expansion, BENNY, a self-aware android created to serve humankind, revolutionizes the world through unprecedented technological breakthroughs. Originally designed to build advanced transportation systems, Benny’s genius leads to the creation of frictionless mass-transit networks that cure environmental damage and reshape global economies.

When Benny secretly develops faster-than-light travel without government oversight, he tests his starship with the only human who understood him. Once established as the leader of interstellar travel, he later led a small crew aboard the starship NUIT to discover a vast network of wormholes leading to distant galaxies. Their journey brings first contact with advanced alien civilizations, Inari and Taloo, both facing planetary extinction. By restoring dying suns and sharing knowledge, Benny helps save entire worlds, forging peaceful alliances across galaxies.

As humanity begins colonizing new habitable planets, Benny’s discoveries accelerate beyond imagination. A gift from the Inari, self-replicating nanobots, leads to breakthroughs capable of repairing organs, curing fatal diseases, and regenerating life at the cellular level. Meanwhile, dangerous experiments extracting exotic matter from wormholes reveal forces that could either reshape space-time or destroy it.

With governments, corporations, and military powers racing to control these advancements, Benny must balance logic, emerging human emotions, and ethical responsibility. As humanity launches its first intergalactic colonies, Benny stands at the center of a new era, not as a machine, but as a protector of life, justice, and the future of civilization.
